Acqualoreto

Its name to the abundance of waters that were in the zone and to the numerous trees of laurel  must that they are found, still today, in the forests;  in the Middle Ages, it made part of comprised the Civitellese Mass and in the plebato  of S.Angelo di Izzalini, was feudo of the Todine families of the Trinci, the Atti, the Chiaravalle.

Acqualoreto made part of the castles mails to defense of Todi, in the 1551 inhabitants is approximately five hundred;  in the 1571 the single parochial church of Saint Valentino records trecentonovantadue inhabitants.

In 1789, while one of largest happened carried out of the history, the French Revolution, to Acqualoreto was discussed on the Fontanas who badly were reduced.  The mayor, Pietro Paparini proposed to resort to " corvées ", that is free works, like in the Middle Ages.  The proposal was accepted and the Fontanas returned to spring 

"per abbeverare i bestiami, e per lavare et bevere".

 

 

 

Acqualoreto

Deve il suo nome all'abbondanza di acque che erano nella zona e ai numerosi alberi di alloro che si trovano, ancora oggi,  nei boschi ; nel Medioevo, faceva parte della Massa Civitellese e compreso nel plebato di S.Angelo di Izzalini, fu  feudo delle famiglie Todine dei Trinci , degli Atti , dei Chiaravalle .

Acqualoreto faceva  parte dei castelli posti a  difesa di Todi , nel 1551 gli abitanti sono circa cinquecento; nel 1571 la sola chiesa parrocchiale di San Valentino registra trecentonovantadue abitanti.

Nel 1789, mentre avveniva una delle più grandi svolte della storia, la Rivoluzione francese, ad Acqualoreto si discuteva sulle fontane che erano mal ridotte. Il sindaco, Pietro Paparini propose di ricorrere alle "corvées", cioè opere gratuite, come nel Medioevo. La proposta fu accettata e le fontane tornarono a zampillare 

"per abbeverare i bestiami, e per lavare et bevere"
