Vasciano

In age Roman it was famous for its sources, said of Vasciano and San Carlo, a lot estimated for the cure of the several diseases of the digesting apparatus;  towards the end of 1890, on the territory  to discover an valuable statue representing IGEA, goddess of the health.

The ancient village, old Vasciano saying,  to  abandon  in remote ages for more and more landslides, the population were settled down subsequently nearby the new parochial church

In the territory of Vasciano they were many ancient towers : Torre Conti, Torre Accorsina, Torre Riccio, Torre Tavera , near this last one to pass the ancient road Roman who lead to Todi

Vasciano

In epoca romana era famosa per le sue sorgenti, dette di Vasciano e San  Carlo , molto stimate per la cura delle varie malattie dell’apparato digerente ; verso la fine del 1890 , fù rivenuta una pregevole statua raffigurante  IGEA , dea della salute . 

Il borgo antico, detto Vasciano vecchio, fu abbadonato  in epoche remote perche’ soggetto a rovinose frane , la popolazione si stabilì successivamente piu’ in basso ,  nei pressi della nuova chiesa parrocchiale .

Nel territorio di Vasciano erano molte antiche torri : Torre Conti, Torre Accorsina, Torre Riccio, Torre Tavera , presso quest’ultima transitava l’antica strada romana che conduceva a Todi .
